ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Tatiana
my
Welcome to my story.
To be honest, it has been a struggle to figure out how to abbreviate the life experiences that have been my education to fit neatly on a webpage. My most valuable training has come from the real, lived practicum of life.
As a Minister of Walking Prayer and Ancestral Trauma Healing Practitioner, it is primarily the experiences shared here that I draw upon to serve my clients.
While my journey has been punctuated with extreme joy and exquisite beauty, darkness and hardship have been some of my greatest teachers.
Though my journey has been highly unconventional, my quest for truth, love, beauty, and peace has been unwavering.
It is from this walk that I stand, with heart and hands open, to offer the medicine that I have made – from both the remarkable and bitter harvests of my life experience.
In an age of everyone appearing to be self-made successes, I am very aware of who helped me become who I am today. I stand on the shoulders of many incredible and resilient teachers, some from unbroken Indigenous lineages.
Out of tremendous respect and reverence to those who have helped me carve this path, I will not be directly naming them so as to spare them any unwanted attention (but am happy to answer lineage questions privately).
Below, I share some truncated snippets of the stories that have brought me to where I am now. I’ll put the full version in another book someday (they’re good stories…).
From Dis-ease to Healing
My healing journey began early.
As a teen, I struggled with depression, suicidality, disordered eating, and self-harm. (What I was really struggling with was waking up into a “civilization” that went against everything my being knew to be true).
Instead of mentorship, community, a connection with purpose, exercise, sunshine and food made from recognizeable ingredients, I was prescribed anti-depressants, diagnosed with PCOS, and put on birth control.
But my body resisted.
That resistance became a turning point.
It started with changing my diet. Then removing environmental toxins. Eventually, I learned how to reconnect with the wisdom of the body and really hear what she was trying to tell me (though this skill took years to develop).
This was also the beginning of my path into herbalism, and the roots of the products I still create today.
Through this journey, my hormonal health transformed – and my life with it.
Initiation and Awakening
At the age of 19, I dropped out of college and stepped onto a spiritual path that would shape the rest of my life. Convinced I would not find the salve to a sick society in an academic institution, I went searching for a different kind of knowledge.
I was fascinated by plant medicines, foraging, and traditional healing practices. However, my unguarded, youthful enthusiasm and zest for learning brought me right into the arms of the shadow side of spirituality. I met my first Indigenous teacher – a Cherokee “medicine man” – in 2002.
From him I learned a lot about foraging plants for healing, food and survival. I also learned about abusive power dynamics, sexual coercion and manipulation within a teacher-student dynamic.
This led me into a deep period of healing.
Escaping to the Big Island of Hawaii, I immersed myself in trauma healing, somatic practices, meditation, and spiritual inquiry. Deeply wounded, I was willing to face whatever shadows necessary to heal the pain.
Through this work I began to piece myself back together, singing myself back to a sense of wholeness that I hadn’t felt since I was a young child.
Many of the tools and teachings I gathered during this time still inform my work with clients today.
Love, Loss & the Unseen
After Hawaii I returned home, where I met my husband and life partner. Together, we deepened into the study of tantra, spirituality, and authentic relationship.
Not long after our wedding, my father passed away.
Three months later, my beloved brother died of a heroin overdose.
Grief became one of my greatest teachers.
Through this loss, I was initiated into deeper spiritual work. I was instructed through dreams, ancestral connection, and communications from beyond the veil. Feeling totally unmoored, I sought out elders, ceremony, and training in both birth and death work.
I began a 2 year ministy training through the Center for Sacred Studies and simultaneously became a hospice volunteer and midwifery student. While my peers were off getting their PhD’s, I was apprenticing at the thresholds of life and death.
Motherhood & Rebirth
And then came motherhood.
Becoming a mother cracked me open in entirely new ways.
My first birth was deeply traumatic, and very different from the peaceful homebirth I had envisioned for myself. As a midwifery student, the experience left me scarred – both emotionally and physically – and resulted in the end of my apprenticeship.
I was left feeling lost and broken once again, an abandoned new mom with a different body, not enough milk to feed my child, no clear career path and no clue where to turn.
Motherhood became both my undoing and my salvation. It’s a strange and wonderful thing, giving birth to your wisest instructors.
Building (and losing) a vision
In my 30s, I entered a collaboration to build a business rooted in healing and spiritual work.
High on lightwork and the promise of creating something that could serve and reach millions of people, and driven by my own shadows around money and success, I abandoned my own dreams and put my energy into building someone else’s.
This led me into a seven-year chapter of creating within an organization that, in the end, was deeply misaligned and harmful.
I finally realized that in order to stay true to myself, I would have to leave. Leaving meant losing everything I had created in that space.
It was devastating.
A New Chapter
At 40, deeply humbled and licking my wounds, I began again.
I rebuilt with stronger boundaries, better discernment, and a clearer commitment to integrity, truth, and sovereignty.
Inspired by my daughter, I created Path to Puberty – a resource to support mothers of daughters in reclaiming body literacy, wisdom, and rites of passage. I also launched my product business, to give people access to clean herbal self-care products – entirely free from chemicals or synthetics.
Today, my work weaves together over two decades of lived experience, study, and devotion in:
- Women’s spirituality
- Womb healing & hormonal health
- Trauma-informed support
- Motherhood & rites of passage
- Relationship, community, and repair
What I Believe
Healing is possible (and likely very different from what you think it is).
Wholeness is your birthright.
My life is proof of that.
But true healing doesn’t happen in isolation.
It happens in relationship – with your body, with your people, with the land, and with the unseen forces that support us.
This is the work I’m devoted to.
My Invitation
It is my prayer that the medicine of my journey can support you in reclaiming your truth, so that you — and your children — can thrive within the strength of enduring, soul-aligned relationships. I invite you to explore if working together might be just the thing you’ve been asking for.
